Just seven days till my birthday, so I figured now would be a good time to say my annual thank you speech.  This is for all the people who’ve made my life a gazillion times better by stopping by, staying for a while or never walking away….

• For friendships that cross the miles, connect the dots, fill the voids and bridge the gaps. Doesn’t matter if they’re new, old or somewhere in the middle
•  For the welcome, the appreciation, the support of Inday and all her queer quriks, attention-grabbing antics, shameless scenes and so much more. And for letting me always talk about her in the third person.
•  For listening to me holler, whine, vent, cry, sing, shout, talk, whisper, inquire about the same things over and over and over again. Your patience knows no bounds.
•  For being there when I was at my lowest, my highest and all the other stages in between.
•  For seeing beyond the hair color, the excess weight, the pale skin. And for accepting what lies beneath.
•  For letting me make a fool of myself yet never thinking me the fool
•  For knowing when to let me go and reel me back in
•  For never calling me “Fat”…or at least not doing so within earshot.
•  For trusting me with your lives, your loves, your secrets, your hopes and your dreams.
•  For the coffees, the iced teas, the royals, the coke lights, the tequila roses, the coke zeros, the dalandan shakes and everything that happened and that was said while we were enjoying every sip.
•  For anything and everything, the big things and small things, for things that don’t matter and things that do….

Thank you, thank you, thank you.  You have all made each day worth waking up for (when i get some sleep that is).  I hold you all near and dear to my heart.

And if I haven’t said it enough, thank you….
